Aircom Expands ASSET Evo with National Coverage & Orchestration
Advanced APIs and a unified automation framework deliver faster, smarter RAN planning at national scale
FAIRFAX, VA, USA – 11th December 2025: Aircom today announced significant enhancements to ASSET Evo, introducing National Coverage & Orchestration—a major new capability that automates and manages nationwide radio network planning tasks. The enhancement enables telecom operators to schedule, execute, and monitor high-volume coverage generation centrally, improving operational efficiency and supporting more consistent planning cycles.
ASSET Evo, Aircom’s web-based network planning workflow tool, democratizes access to planning data across multiple teams. It reduces dependency on planning engineers and enables faster, more collaborative decision-making across the organization.
The new orchestration framework allows Administrators and Power Users to define planning tasks, convert them into executable jobs, and run them on demand or according to predefined schedules. Leveraging the latest ASSET APIs and the ASSET distribution system, ASSET Evo now provides a consolidated view of all automated processes—including job status, history, and diagnostics—ensuring precise oversight of planning activities at scale.
“As operators expand and modernize their networks, efficient management of planning workflows becomes essential,” said Khurram Chaudhury, VP – Product Management and Engineering, Aircom. “The new orchestration capabilities in ASSET Evo deliver a structured, automated approach to nationwide coverage planning, reducing manual effort and enabling more predictable, repeatable processes.”
Key Enhancements in ASSET Evo
Automation & Orchestration
- Automated generation of coverage maps for the entire network footprint
- Ability to schedule or run planning tasks on demand
- Central dashboard for job monitoring, diagnostics, and history
- Framework designed to support future workflow integrations across Aircom products
- Built on the high-performance ASSET distribution system
Map & Coverage Enhancements
- Support for ASSET native 3GA format
- Addition of PCI and Carrier based filtering for improved data selection
- Ability to share Map Favorites privately within teams or publicly across the organization
- Display of cell counts within GIS polygons for rapid spatial analysis
- Multi-carrier support for expanded planning flexibility
“The introduction of National Coverage & Orchestration represents a major technical advancement within ASSET Evo,” said Andy Geering, Principal Software Architect, RAN Planning Suite, Aircom. “Centralized scheduling, background processing, and system-wide monitoring lay the groundwork for continuous, automated planning and future orchestration across the RAN lifecycle.”
ASSET Evo’s new capabilities reinforce its role as a fast, web-based planning solution that extends beyond engineering teams to support field operations, commercial stakeholders, and regulatory functions. This enhancement marks an important step in Aircom’s vision to enable intelligent, automated network lifecycle management.
